Additional Details

Born in France, Lerski was a special effects technician for many European films, including Fritz Lang's cult classic Metropolis. At the end of the 1920s he made a name as an avant-garde portrait photographer and, in 1932, emigrated to Palestine where he continued to work as a photographer, cameraman, and film director.
